The music of ABBA on two acoustic Guitars? Welcome to the Sound Of Strings, a new Fingerstyle Guitar band from Sweden! After the overwhelming reactions on our recent tours in Mexico and Denmark we decided to record these tunes during a sunny day at Gunnebo Castle outside Gothenburg this August. Take a look at the videos! This week we celebrate Sweden's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with the song Waterloo, which also became their breakthrough and first Worldwide Hit. And the second video this week is...........yes, that's right: their second big world hit: SOS!

Welcome to the Sound Of Strings, a new Fingerstyle Guitar band from Sweden, featuring Thomas Hansy and David Hansson! Many people might know us as the world touring classical guitar duo The Gothenburg Combo. Sound Of Strings was formed in a desire to return to our youth. We were brought up with the music of ABBA and we find it very liberating to play all those amazing songs that were such an important part of our childhood. For the next three weeks we will release two new videos. This week we've released the funky disco tune As Good as New, and a Spanish Guitar rendition, complete with tremolo, of the ballad Fernando.
